Hello everyone.

Many of you are friends, and many of you are simply concerned world citizens. All of you are amazing.

A thousand signatures in 48 hours is phenomenal, and I feel grateful, proud, humbled and energised. This petition will not end up on the back burner, because I’m not going to let it go. And that’s why your voice is so important to me. 

I’m not planning to badger you with email updates. We are all inundated with requests, demands and awareness raising info. It can sometimes be overwhelming, and I want to respect each of you and acknowledge the unique pressures in your life.

I simply want to tell you that we’ve reach a fabulous milestone in almost no time at all, and that I’m planning to keep this petition alive by sharing it with others, even when the media coverage begins to slow down… until the next “newsworthy shooting”.

I’d also like to ask you for a single favour. Please don’t forget how important this feels right now. If you get a chance to share this petition next week, next month, or next year… share it.

My goal is to ultimately build this petition to a size that is uncomfortable, embarrassing, ridiculous and unavoidable. 

I’ll need everyone’s help to make that happen.
