I am sick and tired of watching beautiful innocent people dying a violent tragic death, simply because US lawmakers refuse to deal with gun crime. The argument preventing change is that the Second Amendment of the US Constitution allows uninhibited rights for Americans to bear arms. 

There is nothing in the Constitution that gives US lawmakers and other public officials the uninhibited right to receive donations or other types of funding from the National Rifle Association.

This petition seeks to change the laws in America, so that any lawmaker or public official, whether directly or via an intermediary, receives any form of NRA funding, whether directly or via delegate or intermediary, is subject to a minimum 10 years in prison and $1 million penalty.

I believe it’s not an issue of constitutional rights, it’s about money. It’s about greed. So make the greed at the expense of innocent lives a crime.
