As a local, Architect and an Urban Designer who has worked on train station upgrades. I'm hoping my local station upgrade can be as much as it can be!

The proposed design is more of the same and impacts the iconic pedestrian bridge of Roseville station. I propose a wide, well lit and open pedestrian tunnel to not only upgrade the station for better disabled access, but a better connection for the community as a whole. A pedestrian tunnel from the Roseville Post Office to the Roseville Cinema would need no steps given the lay of the land (to The Rifleway).

This design will allow: duel entries (aka 50% of houses to be ~200m closer to the station), connects the East and West sides of the suburb and promotes walking & cycling to the station.

Currently it is not being considered because it is cheaper and easier to not do it. This is not considering the tunnel design saves the need/cost for a temporary bridge which will be needed for 2 years during construction as well as it will be a piece of infrastructure that will add value to the suburb.
