Squirrels are not appreciated enough. Many people say that they are nothing but a nuisance to the world. I feel this is wrong, we should celebrate their existence. They do so much good for the world. There are more than 200 squirrel species and they play an important ecological role as seed and spore dispensers. Squirrels catch, or store seeds and nuts in the soil or trees. When forgotten these seeds and nuts sprout into plants and trees. We need trees more than ever since global warming has started. We need squirrels, so let's celebrate them today!
