Make a Freshwater Update for Minecraft

The Issue

Hear me out Mojang!
With the recent reveal of the Nautilus, we need a Freshwater Update for Minecraft! I'd like to see Alligators, Beavers, Capybaras, Catfishes, Crabs, Crocodiles, Dragonflies, Ducks, Fireflies, Flamingos, Manatees, Otters, Pelicans, Piranhas, River Dolphins, Salamanders, Sharks, Stingrays, Tapirs, and Water Buffalos added to Minecraft. Here's my prediction for a Freshwater Update for Minecraft.

At first the speculative update 1.22 has brought no new real life mobs, but instead brought us only three new fantasy creatures (the Creaking in the second 2024 Miniupdate (The Garden Awakens), the Happy Ghast in the second 2025 Game Drop (Chase the Skies), and the Copper Golem in the third 2025 Game Drop (The Copper Age)), as well as Warm and Cold variants for Pigs, Cows, and Chickens in the first 2025 Game Drop (Spring to Life), until the Nautilus was recently revealed during Minecraft Live 2025. Earlier from 2016 to 2023 Mojang was regularly making content votes for Minecraft: the 2016 Vote, which was the first Minecraft content vote, with Alpaca and Llama, the 2017 Vote with Great Hunger, Hovering Inferno, Phantom and Terror of the Ocean Depths, the 2018 Vote with Fox, Meerkat and Ostrich, the 2018 Chinese Vote with Alligator, Deer, Monkey, Panda and River Dolphin, the 2019 Vote with Frog, Goat and Vulture (although the Frog made it 3 years later to Minecraft in 1.19 (The Wild Update), debuting alongside the Allay (the winner of the 2021 Vote) and the Warden (which was originally planned for 1.17-1.18 (Caves and Cliffs), but was finally added in 1.19 (The Wild Update)), the 2020 Vote with Glow Squid, Iceologer and Moobloom, the 2021 Vote with Allay, Copper Golem and Glare (although the Copper Golem made it 4 years later to Minecraft in "The Copper Age" Game Drop), the 2022 Vote with Rascal, Sniffer and Tuff Golem, and the 2023 Vote, which was the final Minecraft content vote, with Armadillo, Crab and Penguin; and the winners are as follows: Llama (2016 Vote), Phantom (2017 Vote), Fox (2018 Vote), Panda (2018 Chinese Vote), Goat (2019 Vote), Glow Squid (2020 Vote), Allay (2021 Vote), Sniffer (2022 Vote), and Armadillo (2023 Vote), but on the other hand Minecraft also has some forgotten Mobs, including Real Life Animals: Ducks (they are too similar to Chickens), Mummies (they are too similar to Husks), Sharks (Hostile Mobs need to be Fantasy Creatures), Alpacas (they lost to Llamas in the 2016 Vote), the Great Hunger, the Hovering Inferno, the Terror of the Ocean Depths (they all three lost to the Phantom in the 2017 Vote), Meerkats, Ostriches (they both lost to Foxes in the 2018 Vote) Alligators, Deers, Monkeys, River Dolphins (they all four lost to Pandas in the 2018 Chinese Vote), Frogs (formerly), Vultures (they lost to Goats in the 2019 Vote), the Iceologer, the Moobloom (they both lost to the Glow Squid in the 2020 Vote), the Copper Golem (formerly), the Glare (it lost to the Allay in the 2021 Vote), the Rascal, the Tuff Golem (they both lost to the Sniffer in the 2022 Vote), Crabs and Penguins (they both lost to Armadillos in the 2023 Vote), which is why fan favorites such as the Moobloom didn't make it to Minecraft. This is why Mojang doesn't listen to us.

So let's call upon Mojang. Make a Freshwater Update for Minecraft. Give us Alligators, Beavers, Capybaras, Catfishes, Crabs, Crocodiles, Dragonflies, Ducks, Fireflies, Flamingos, Manatees, Otters, Pelicans, Piranhas, River Dolphins, Salamanders, Sharks, Stingrays, Tapirs, and Water Buffalos. If unpaid modders can add these mobs, then at least you could follow the frequency of the content that made Minecraft famous. Adding these mobs would be fun for their fans, especially Beavers, Capybaras, Crabs and Crocodiles.
