The Rolaids Relief Award is the Cy Young Award of relievers, given to the greatest reliever in each league in the MLB. Mariano Rivera, the greatest reliever in baseball history with a total of 652 saves, retired at the end of the 2013 season, leaving a profound hole in baseball. A class-act and the humblest athlete alive, just went out and got the job done, for his teammates and not for personal glory. The sure-fire Hall of Famer deserves the Rolaids award to be renamed in honor of him, one of the greats of our generation and the history of baseball. Although the award is sponsored by Rolaids, they too should recognize the greatness of this player and change the award's name, even if the award is called "The Mariano Rivera Award, sponsored by Rolaids"
