As a local Maitland resident and an avid pickleball player, I have seen firsthand how this sport has grown in popularity across all age groups. It's not just a game; it's a community builder that brings people together. However, we are currently facing a shortage of suitable dedicated playing courts in Maitland, Florida.

Our town is fortunate to have numerous tennis courts which are often underutilized. Converting TWO (one at Minnehaha Park and possibly one at Hill Recreation Center Park)  of these into pickleball courts would be an efficient use of space and resources. This would cater to the growing demand for pickleball facilities without needing to construct new courts from scratch.

The process through government channels could take well over a year due to bureaucracy. We propose that this conversion could be expedited with SMALL contributions from local players who are eager for more accessible pickleball facilities.
