I support Elite Equestrian Events and Riding Club
The issue
We have proposed to launch an Equestrian Centre at Elite Equestrian at Miller's Forest 2324 which is currently being assessed by Maitland Local Council.
We would like to gauge an idea of who would like to attend and support the facility should it be approved. We have proposed a small number of large events for the facility with a maximum of 350 competitors however this is being apposed by a few local residents.
The facility is 5*! We boast a 60em x 60m ebb and flow arena, solar lighting of comp quality so twilight Showjumping may be on the cards! There are also 32 stables at the Facility and agistment in operation.
The Club would focus on the Olympic Disciplines but would also look at hosting a number of training days of varying disciplines and interests similar to NorthSide Riding Club. We aspire to secure the best training gear through networking with local businesses. The difference being we will not just be a dressage club or Showjumping rather a Riding Club which offers a variety of experiences and opportunities, eventing being a primary focus.
In addition to this, in time we would like to host competitions to the highest standard once the Riding Club is operational. However, we need your support due to some opposition against the large scale events. This is not a tit for tat simply an expression to support the want and need for a facility of its type in our local area. NOW is the time to let the Council know what you want locally..and what IS available NOW!
We would be looking at hosting dressage, show jumping, cross country (small levels), hacking and other events throughout the course of the year on a rotating basis in addition to the wonderful clubs of our area. This will take time and people to make it happen and this is where I ask for YOU to step up!
Yes, we are in a flood zone, Yes!.. We plan for this and many other aspects have been risk assessed.
If you would love to attend a 5* Facility on the border of Port Stephens and the Hunter with ease of access due to the location, please share with your horsey friends and let's show our Council what we would love to have on our own doorstep!
The opportunity is NOW to make it happen and bring this amazing facility to life!
