For me, and for countless others, the globally-acclaimed TV show "Friends" is more than just entertainment. It is a lifeline, a daily comfort, a source of laughter and joy. This show has played a pivotal role in my life, and it's imperative for me and so many others that it remains available on Australian Netflix.

"Friends" first aired over two and half decades ago, yet still resonates with millions of people worldwide. According to The Guardian, the show remains one of the most-streamed titles in Netflix's library, underscoring its enduring popularity (The Guardian, 2019). Considering this, the decision to remove it from Australian Netflix's offering would not only impact many faithful viewers like me, who view "Friends" as part of their daily routine, but also Netflix's own viewership.

Australia already has a substantial fanbase that would be disappointed by the withdrawal of the show. In 2018, when it was rumoured that "Friends" might be removed from streaming platforms globally, fans started petition campaigns worldwide that successfully helped to maintain the show's availability (CNN, 2018).

Having "Friends" on Australian Netflix gives joy, comfort, and a sense of familiarity to thousands of viewers who enjoy the show either on their own or together with friends and family. We must protect this precious source of entertainment.
