We are thrilled to share a significant update regarding our campaign! On March 23rd, 2025, we had the privilege of presenting at the Ramblers Cymru Annual General Meeting in Llandrindod Wells.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. Delegates from across Wales unanimously endorsed our #GateGate campaign, not only supporting the immediate removal of the gates but also backing broader measures to prevent similar access restrictions in other communities.

Richard Clarke, speaking at the meeting, emphasised the fundamental principle of ensuring open space access for all is not prevented by landowners blocking access roads. He expressed his immense gratitude for the enthusiastic reception the campaign received from Ramblers Cymru.

This crucial support from organizations like the Ramblers, combined with the unwavering dedication of our local community, has propelled our petition to over 4,000 signatures, and the numbers continue to grow by the day.

We are incredibly encouraged by this momentum and remain committed to working with the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, the Ramblers and Welsh Government to uphold the right to access our beautiful open spaces in general and in Cwmparc in particular.

Thank you for your continued support, we inch closer to achieving our aims each day.
