Thank you once again for your continued support and we now have over 3800 signatures on our petition.

We are writing to provide you with an important update on our campaign to get the gates removed from the approach road to the forestry in Cwmparc.

We are pleased to announce that we have now submitted a package of evidence to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council. This evidence details what we believe to be a significant highway obstruction and provides supporting documentation for their consideration and determination.

We have undertaken a substantial amount of research but have focused our submission on key pieces of evidence which show continued use of the path to the forestry over a prolonged period. We now anticipate that the council will initiate its established processes to impartially deliberate on the matter. This process will involve a thorough review of the submitted evidence and potentially further investigation and action.

While we await the council's decision, we sincerely hope that the owners of the gate will recognise the public concern and, as an interim measure, open the gates. This would allow for immediate access while the council's formal processes are underway, and before what we hope will be the ultimate removal of the obstruction. We believe this would be a sensible and considerate step.
In parallel with the council's review, we are continuing to gather further evidence. This ongoing effort will support our intended application for a Public Right of Way. We are committed to ensuring long-term, unrestricted access to the forestry at Cwmparc.

We will continue to keep you informed of any significant developments. Your support is invaluable, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate the council's processes.

If you have any friends who have not signed this petition then please share it with them.
Thank you.
