Emergency care can be a matter of life and death, and studies show that outsourced EMS services can experience issues due to profit motive, such as increased response times and lower standards of care (Krumholz, Harlan M., et al. 2017). This cannot be our reality. We must prioritize the health and safety of our residents above all. The private company might not know our needs and specific community issues as well as our local EMS does. Let's take a stand for the professional, community-focused care that Alva EMS provides.
