“An announcement has just been sent out; No more coral reefs!” This could happen someday if we don’t stop people from destroying the coral reefs. Without coral reefs, the beauty and purpose of snorkeling would be gone, and all the fish.

There are around thirty to sixty thousand species of fish, reptiles, plants and crustaceans that live in coral reefs such as turtles, sharks, eels, crabs, shrimps, urchins, sponges, and algae.  Some of those fish are commercial fish (fish that you may eat, I love shrimp!) I’m pretty sure that there’s a couple in here that you might eat, right? Everyone will be affected by this, especially if you like fish. Unfortunately, there are people who blow up coral in order to reach the commercial fish. It is illegal in the us, but there are still people who poach the coral illegally. 

 Instead of mining coral, we can make reserves for the coral for it to grow naturally. Remember all the good times you had looking at the coral, while maybe snorkeling,  because if it keeps up, the coral will be gone and all the fish. Well, the coral reefs take in a big part of the fish population and many fish that we eat are in there. Please support me in trying to save the beauty of the sea.
