The Issue

RMS is a multi-level organisation, focused solely on the Utilities and Energy Management Environment and profit making.

As per RMS Reviews they are broker that rips off  tenants by lack of transparency & inconsistent billing and overcharged sanitation.

Here are a few case studies on the review:

1. Pay my electricity but no light's

The company does not care about client services I'm having a 6 months old baby in the house and without warning my lights a being switched off after making the payment and sending the proof of payment I'm still with power and how I'm supposed to make bottle for my little one, heartless people. I would really wanna take this matter further.

2. Electricity very high

I have been complaining several times regarding the is smart on how I’m being charged the amount that is being taken from us is extremely high and when we query it we are being told that’s how we use electricity sometimes I only cook once in the morning soft porridge for my child n the bill is very high .we are being robbed day light and legal action will be taken against the company when we insist on taking to Andre we are told he is in a meeting the whole day.”be prob” has added others tenants rent in the Ismart bill because they know if u don’t pay rent they will switch off ur electricity.zain from BE prop told one of the tenants that we pay ismart and they pay him .we are sick and tired of them .i mean how can u use 100 for 2 days no ways

Negligence & Mismanagement of customer accounts

My electricity was cut from the 9th due to failure of allocating payment to my account.

I have reached out to their call centre and was told they could not reconnect electricity.

I have also spoke to IHS as the residence provider who promised to liaise with Ismrt but I still don't have electricity.

Proof of payment was emailed to ********** and their accounts department on the 7th and it has been ignored since then hence I am still in the dark and the house is stinking as the fridge is off.

Can someone point me to the right direction as I am now feeling helpless despite the calls made to IHS properties and Ismrt call centre. 

 

4. Ridiculous Electricity Charges

ismrt is a complete rip off. I am fed up of paying ridiculous amounts for electricity. How can I be charged R896.44 in February and R1547.59 in March???? How is it possible for my bill to have doubled? I have a gas stove, no air conditioning, no heaters. How is it possible for my bill to be this high. When I call to query my account, I was asked to hold 4 times. The lady refused to let me speak to the manager. The service is absolutely pathetic. 

 

These are a few of the problems that this system brings up.

This system is clearly not built to better the lives of tenants but to exploit them. High tariffs, terrible customer services. Can we be made to understand the problem with the prepaid system we have now? We have control over our electricity usage.
