Macomb Township (in Michigan) is looking to approve building a Meijers with 400 parking spots and a gas station at the North East Corner of 24 Mile and Hayes. These plans would back right up to existing subdivisions, and a Preschool. While this land has been slatted for commerical buildings our current infrastructure is unable to support the level of traffic this would bring to our area. Building a Meijers and Gas station so close to already existing residential homes and schools would decrease property values and raise even more safety concerns. Our roads cannot handle this type of heavy traffic in this area especially when there was just approval for another subdivsion to be built with 150 homes just 1/4 mile up the road. There are already numerous grocery stores in the area. Help protect Macomb Township residents and future residents from the negative impacts this could have on our community by signing this petition!
