The Issue

On December 8th, 2014, after returning home from a day at work, I took my dog, a Siberian Husky named Samson, for a walk in my neighborhood.  Deciding to go to a nearby store to pick some things up for the next days work,  Samson and I were approached by 5 unknown individuals who demanded Samson.  I refused, at which time they attacked us with bats, ultimately knocking me unconscious, breaking my wrist and hand, and throwing me behind a dumpster for dead.  I woke back up approximately five hours later and somehow made my way home, where the local police were called.  I was taken to a hospital for treatment.  I later feel into a coma and was unconscious for 4 days.  When I come to, I posted a Facebook update concerning these matters, and an immense social media search (and debate) began looking for Samson.  Needless to say, it was very intense, emotionally straining and difficult.  Not only was I brutally assaulted, but my best friend was ripped from me and and I had no clue as to his whereabouts or well-being.  I was sick to my soul for him, as was his mother, my finacee, Sharon; Who got Samson for me as a Christmas gift on Dec. 21, 2013, from a rescue.  He is registered and chipped in our names.

Approximately a month later, some friends located who they believed to be Samson in a local neighborhood, where they were fighting dogs.  My worst fear for him.  They told me he had been baited.  Ultimately, this dog (and others) were taken from that place, and the dog we believed to be Samson was brought to my home,  brutally mangled, where he died.  Thinking this was my Samson, a part of us died as well.

However, later, in April of 2015, Samson was found.  He was being sold on Detroit: Sell Everything by a man named Brandon Davis.  I immediately contacted this man via his Facebook profile, and he later contacted me and told me he had sold the dog to a guy for $250.  I asked Mr. Davis to please contact that man and have him contact me.  Two days later I received a call from a man named Justin Woodley (aka Mastermind JWoodley on Facebook), who said it was ok for come see if that was Samson.  It was.  We had an agreement that we could have him back.  Mr. Woodley lied and said he paid $1,000.00 for Samson, but I have an affidavit swearing he only paid $250.  We were going to compensate him $500 for his expenses. We left to go get the money, but all the sudden, Mr. Woodley disappeared, and would no longer return our calls.  A few days later he begins to post on Facebook that he will not return Samson (who he renamed "Jack"), and that I would never have him back again.  I responded, and he then began a social media assault against me.  My wife and I contacted the local police in his area, who immediately went and found him, arrested him, and got Samson back for us.  Now Mr. Woodley, with the help of others, has started a Petition of lies and fabrications in an attempt to have Samson ripped from us again.  His frivolous petition has nearly 1,000 supporter.  Hence, being the proactive person I am, I hereby begin my own petition to circumvent his, and ask for any and all in support of Samson staying home with his family who love him, and whom he loves, to please sign and support this Petition.  Simply, my family and I could never endure having Samson taken from us again.  Thank you for your time, consideration and support.  -Samson, Richard and Sharon.
