MAC Cosmetics claim to "hate the fact animal testing still exists", and yet still prioritise money over being cruelty free. 

On MAC's 'animal testing' page on their website, www.maccosmetics.co.uk/animaltesting they clearly state despite not testing on animals themselves, it is a requirement by law that China tests any cosmetics being bought into the country on animals.
In one of their FAQ questions, the following query is raised:
"If animal testing is required by law in China and you care so much about animals, why don’t you pull out of the Chinese market?"
MAC's response:
"Just like you, we don’t like animal testing. M•A•C is committed to making sure animal testing requirements are abolished worldwide. We have also committed to selling our products in China. We believe in changing the system (and ourselves) from within."

If MAC honestly believed in changing the system, and themselves, they would cut ties with the Chinese market. It is unfair that it's mandatory for Chinese consumers to be forced to buy animal tested products due to the country's law requirements. That law will never change if big brands such as Etstee Lauder (owning MAC) don't take a stand for those without voices. 

As MAC are one of the most influential brands in our modern day world with their regular collaborations with celebrities and upcoming movies, it wouldn't be a surprise if other makeup/cosmetics brands followed suit. Please sign this petition to raise the conversation higher of MAC & Animal Cruelty!
