BF4 | Add a Passive Countermeasure against FLIR/IRNV Optics
The Issue
I spoke with a moderator at the BF4 CTE Reddit (proof below) about camo against FLIR and IRNV.

"For balance we would want to make it take a gadget slot or be a Field Upgrade. Either way, it's a lot of work for an issue that not a lot of people are complaining about."
Meaning if it was popular, he would make it happen. This might also help decrease IR smoke spam. Here's a chance for you to vote for it.
So if you've ever felt unfairly outclassed by vehicles or infantry finding you and shooting you down when you needed to stay undetected the most,
or feel the active counter measures of flashlights/flares/lasers/smoke grenades are not enough when all the optic user has to do is look at you from any angle,
then your voice can finally be heard by signing this petition.
Please recall, BF3 was the first to introduce IRNV for infantry and FLIR for vehicles. It had a passive counter measure called the SPEC OPS CAMO but was too easy to access. DICE acknowledges this but wants your voice in adding a balanced version of this back into the game.

SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
- ACTIVE COUNTERS VS. INFANTRY FLIR/IRNV
Flashlight/Laser
- requires ADS on Optic User. This means the victim only has a small range of angles. Meanwhile, the optic user can view your glowing body at any angle.
- FLIR/IRNV user can simply shoot at the center of the shine or switch to canted sights
- FLIR/IRNV use is anonymous but a Flashlight/Laser can be seen by everyone on the enemy team and is thus very revealing
Smoke/Flares
- requires that victim know he/she is being actively targeted by an optic user
- flares only need be seen via the canted sight switch (plenty of time to switch, especially by remapping the switch to the knife button on PS4/X1)
- smoke grenades users can be seen at the edge of the smoke
- smoke grenade users can be flushed out with projectile explosives (XM25, undermounted GL + FLIR/IRNV)
- Environmental smoke can still be seen through FLIR/IRNV.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNfkGnVgHT8)
