A metro line from Thiruvanmiyur to Kottivakkam via ECR has been proposed by CMRL. Instead of ECR, the Metro rail can be opted to OMR, which is the IT hub of Chennai and more importantly, LAKHS of commuters travel regularly So Metro Rail in OMR will be useful to more number of people than in ECR.Also ECR is one of the posh areas of Chennai. So majority of people in ECR will not prefer to use public transit. Hence Metro in OMR(Thiruvanmiyur to Siruseri) will be an intelligent choice. Because, it SERVES more people and hence more PROFIT. A perfect WIN-WIN Situation.
