M&S to Stop Selling Cashmere Clothes Due to Animal Cruelty

M&S to Stop Selling Cashmere Clothes Due to Animal Cruelty
The Issue
Marks and Spencer still sell cashmere and it needs to stop!
The sight of animal cruelty triggers a profound anger in me, and I cannot stand idly by while it continues. One such instance is the production of cashmere wool, which is beyond cruel. Goats are held down and their coats are literally ripped out using harsh brushes, causing them immense pain and distress.
It's beyond comprehension that Marks & Spencer (M&S), a leading high street store in the UK, still sells clothes produced this way. It's time for us to take a stand against this inhumane practice.
Cashmere goats live in extremely cold climates where temperatures can drop below -30°C (-22°F). Their fine undercoat provides them with necessary insulation during these harsh winters. When this coat is removed prematurely or improperly, it leaves them vulnerable to illnesses and even death (source: PETA).
We need M&S to set an example for other retailers by discontinifying cashmere products until there's assurance that they're sourced ethically and humanely. This will send a strong message about animal welfare being more important than profit margins.
Let's remind those involved in these cruel practices what empathy feels like - perhaps if they experienced having their hair painfully ripped out, they would think twice about doing it to innocent creatures who rely on humans for care.
Please sign this petition urging M&S to stop selling cashmere clothes produced through cruel methods immediately!
