Hello, everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for signing the petition and supporting this important cause. But our fight is not over – and the situation is only getting worse.
New keyboard models being released in 2025 are creating even more barriers for blind musicians:
🎹 Medeli AKX10S – with a 7-inch touch screen, no accessibility at all; it replaces the previous model (AKX210), which was already touch-based.
🎹 Ketron Fusion – just like the Event model, it also adopts touch screens, with no alternative for blind users.
Yamaha released the SX720 and SX920 models at the end of last year, and they are also touch-based. Will we see more disappointing surprises from them this year? 🤔
These instruments, which should be accessible to everyone, are becoming completely unusable for blind musicians. Without a screen reader, a fully touch-based keyboard prevents a musician from performing basic adjustments such as changing tones, configuring effects, or even navigating menus without depending on someone else.
And the worst part? Major brands continue to ignore this issue.
💡 What can you do now?
✅ Share the petition with friends, musicians, teachers, and anyone who can support the cause.
✅ Tag the involved brands on social media and demand action.
✅ Keep pushing for accessibility in musical keyboards to become a priority.
The technology already exists. Change depends on us showing that this matters! 🎶💙
