Lysterfield Park wildlife haven is AT RISK.

Lysterfield Park wildlife haven is AT RISK.
The issue
As a local resident and lover of Lysterfield National Park, I am deeply concerned about the proposed school development by PARED Vic Ltd. (PA 2302660) at 19 - 23 Horswood Road, Narre Warren North. This site is in a green wedge A zone, in an extreme risk bush fire area, and serves as a haven for our beloved kangaroos and other endangered species.
Lysterfield National Park is one of Melbourne's busiest national parks, attracting numerous visitors and tourists who are guaranteed to witness wildlife in their natural habitat. The proposed school site happens to be a significant corridor for kangaroos that have used it for over half a century or more. It's clear that co-location of children and kangaroos would pose serious risks to both parties.
The most alarming part of this proposal is the intended Kangaroo Management Plan which involves killing and removing these magnificent creatures from their home ground - an action we find utterly unacceptable.
We understand the need for educational institutions but surely there must be alternative locations that won't disrupt our precious ecosystem or put lives at risk due to bush fires. We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this planning permit application in light of its potential environmental impact.
Please join us in protecting our wildlife, our park, and our community from such disruptive development plans by signing this petition today!
