Fireworks are becoming louder and louder every year. Millions of family pets, cats and dogs, horses, farm animals and creatures living in the wild, are regularly terrorized by the deafening noise of fireworks, sounding like exploding bombs. They are being let off throughout the year at private parties and in public places, with no regulations on the level of noise they produce.            The only way we can reduce the distress caused to animals, is for the UK to introduce laws to prevent the extreme and unacceptable levels of noise these fireworks produce.

In the Italian province of Collecchio, new legislation restricts residents to use only silent fireworks, which produce a spectacular light show, without the usual deafening noise, thereby reducing the stress caused to animals.
