The issue

Lyndale United FC is more than just a soccer club; it's a vital part of our North Dandenong community, dedicated to providing affordable and inclusive access to sport for everyone. Our club has been a nurturing ground for young talent and a beacon for community engagement. However, the very facilities that support our mission are struggling to keep pace with our growing numbers.

The pitches at the Lyndale Secondary Sporting Pavilion are in dire need of an upgrade. They lack proper drainage, which often renders them unplayable after rain, a concern that disproportionately affects our training schedules. The need for resurfacing is urgent as uneven and worn-out surfaces pose a safety risk to players of all ages. Moreover, the absence of adequate lighting limits our ability to extend training sessions into the evenings, further restricting our opportunities to nurture and grow our community's love for the sport.

Over the past two years, our participation has skyrocketed:

2023: 140 players
2025: 232 players
2030 projection: 424 players

Female participation has grown from 12 players in 2023 to 59 in 2025, and we expect 187 by 2030. Our junior programs are thriving, and we are proud to be building pathways for girls and women in football.

We are calling on the Victorian State Government and the City of Greater Dandenong to invest in:

Sub-surface drainage
Pitch resurfacing
Lighting installation to competition standard
These upgrades will ensure safe, accessible, and inclusive facilities for hundreds of players—kids, adults, and families—now and into the future.

Sign this petition to show your support and help us advocate for the upgrades our community deserves!

Together, we can create a safe and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy soccer.”
