Everyone - it has been a while but it appears that Lynbrook Village government will vote on a law that permits shooting ranges in the village, restricted to industrial zoned areas. These businesses will still need to submit for a special use permit in order to set up their business. There are only two industrial zones in the village - by FunZone Hot Skates and US Lumber on Merrick Road and in the northwest section of town. The vote will be held on Monday, October 17. We encourage all to come out and join us as we listen to the rationale and how the village leaders vote. Keep in mind that 2017 is an election year for at least one, if not two, of the council members.
