Reopen New Life Evangelistic Center!

All it takes is a catastrophic event or debilitating illness to cause even the richest of men to suddenly become needy and homeless.  For anyone stricken and stuck in the streets of St. Louis, this place has been a beacon, a sign of somewhere to go and of someone who cares! Reverend Larry Rice Ministries and staff have been working around the clock to resolve the issues that have arisen, including repairs made to the physical building located on Locust St., but attempts to meet with or grant the permits to reopen the doors of  New Life Evangelistic Center are currently hindered by a lawsuit against New Life and the city of St. Louis, which has been filed by uncooperative neighbors to keep the doors shut, rather than to share new ideas and work together for the safety and welfare of everyone!  Your voice matters and you can make a difference by signing this petition, or directly calling the Mayor.   Maybe you don't know what it's like to endure a debilitating illness or ruin on a personal level yourself, to have to struggle with adversity as you sort through the debris and remove the rubble just so you can rebuild, and I hope you never do, because I can relate to those who have found themselves in the center of chaos, and I know how horrible the helplessness feels.

As independent as you have been trained to become and to believe that you are supposed to be, consider how it is so that a business can't thrive, let alone survive without customers, which implies therefore that even the greatest of them are all codependent.  This is why it is so vital that we learn to work together!

Center's like New Life not only provide the immediate necessities to survive, but people are encouraged to allow themselves to grow spiritually as they are introduced to new skills and jobs training programs, vital for the victory in the quest of recovering from homelessness!

Lyda Krewson is the Mayor of St. Louis.  With the understanding of the plight of the ill,  heartbroken, and homeless, and the generous deeds of Larry Rice and his staff, and with the center having a long history of cooperating with the city to provide shelter for the homeless, including our war-torn Veterans and lost daughters and sons, this is a deed that should be signed, sealed, and done!

Let her know your thoughts too, either by signing this petition and commenting or even by making a phone call directly to the Mayor. (314) 622-3201

Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated!

"And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land." (Isaiah 32:2)
