Request for a Temporary Street Closure for Safe Trick-or-Treating
We, the undersigned residents and neighbors, support the temporary closure of Citadel Drive NE between Wild Creek Trail and Brookforest Drive NE on Saturday, October 31, 2026, during designated trick-or-treating hours.

Our neighborhood experiences significant pedestrian activity on Halloween evening, including many young children and families walking between homes. Temporarily limiting vehicle traffic along this portion of the street would create a safer environment for trick-or-treaters while allowing our community to enjoy this neighborhood tradition together.

The proposed closure would be temporary and limited to approximately 6pm–8pm, with appropriate barricades/signage.  We would allow continued access for emergency vehicles or residents that live on Citadel as required.  Through traffic can easily be detoured through the neighborhood without causing a major inconvenience.
