Hi all
Again Elaine and myself would like to thank everyone for their support and for your constant kind messages. You all have made us feel we are not alone in our journey and hopefully will see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Our fight is having a detrimental affect on Elaine health and our family,it’s non stop trying to get someone who has influence to fight in our corner,it’s very draining and stressful at a time when we just don’t need it.
Elaine went to see her Oncologist on Thursday for signing off more paperwork and and to discuss when her Enhertu treatment will start.
Again we were told by our Oncologist that before Elaine can have the drug we have to pay for it first. They make us feel like we are dishonest or criminals.
We still haven’t heard from most of the people we have emailed,it’s seems to us they are turning a deaf ear on our plight.
Our MP Saqib Bhatti (Solihull) has completely blanked us for some unknown reason(I’m sure his attitude will change when it comes to the next General Election)
Jonathan Brotherton (CEO Queen Elizabeth Hospital) is ignoring our emails when asked about being charged £265 for a Nurse to administer the Enhertu to Elaine and £45 dispensing pharmacy fee.
I’m Sure he’s proud of himself making £310 for the NHS coffers.
Stephen Barclay (Secretary of Health) Completely ignored us
NHS England Normal response, acknowledged our email.
NICE Normal response,acknowledged our email.
On a positive note
David Brocklehurst(head of oncology UK Astra Zeneca/Manufacturer of Enhertu)emailed Elaine and told her to get our Oncologist to contact Daiichi Sankyo and he would push the request into the right direction. We have forwarded his email to our Oncologist, hopefully they will do as he requested.
Just so everyone knows we will never give in and will fight for what we believe is a right for everyone who has lung cancer.
A RIGHT TO LIVE
Thank you all from the bottom of our Hearts
Elaine and Chris.
