Hi all
First of all Elaine and myself would like to thank everyone who has supported our petition and sent such lovely messages of encouragement.,we are truly thankful and very grateful.
Elaine had her Cyber Knife radiotherapy on her brain today and is feeling a little exhausted.
we are still fighting for the drug we believe Elaine has a right to have and her Oncology team still believes is the correct drug for fighting the HER2 mutation in her lung.
our Oncologist did request the Enhertu drug from the pharmaceutical rep who deals with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on compassionate grounds, unfortunately for some unknown reason to us they were turned down.
so far we have asked for help from the following-
Jonathan Brotherton(CEO Queen Elizabeth Hospital)
Professor Simon Ball(Chief Medical Officer Queen Elizabeth Hospital)
David Brocklehurst(head of oncology UK Astra Zeneca/Manufacturer of Enhertu)
Stephen Barclay (Secretary of Health)
Saqib Bhatti (MP Solihull)
NICE (National institute for Health and Care Excellence)
NHS England
Daiichi Sankyo Japan (Manufacturer Enhertu)
Daiihi Sankyo USA (Ken Keller President and CEO)
As of today we are still no further forward
I think that’s about it at the moment, hopefully we will get some positive news soon.
Thank you again for all your support.
Elaine & Chris
