Duolingo. The best, most effective, most fun, most addictive way to learn a new language. The app/website that millions use and love. Thousands of thousands of thousands of people have benefited from using Duolingo. People who haven’t even finished the course have said they can have a conversation in the language they’re learning with native speakers with only a few minor mistakes! And since Duo has launched an app, even more people have benefited from this awesome website! Most app users don’t even know there is a website! I do not know for sure, but I think it’s quite safe to assume that the majority of users on Duolingo use it on the App.

But, hidden in the website, there is an amazing feature. A feature that has helped people enormously with their language learning journey. Ladies and Gentlemen, this feature is… The Tips & Notes!

The Tips & Notes are grammar explanations, found near the bottom of the page at every skill. They are extremely helpful. One of the worst problems with Duolingo’s new Japanese course is the lack of Tips & Notes, which is especially bad since Japanese is such a complex, difficult, confusing language!

However, the Tips & Notes are absent from the App, which is a huge flaw. Grammar is extremely crucial when learning a new language, and as Duolingo is without grammar explanations on the app, Duolingo becomes less effective. Without these explanations, users are forced to learn conjugation and grammar rules by themselves. Wouldn’t it just be better if Duolingo taught grammar too?

Well, let’s hope Duolingo Staff sees this.
