Make Captain fordo canon
Make Captain fordo canon
The Issue
I’m 2003, we were introduced to one of the greatest characters in Star Wars, clone Captain Fordo. He is most known for holding his own against an overwhelming number of b-2 super battle droids at the battle of coruscant, and saving the lives of 3 Jedi from the infamous General Greivous, known for the deaths of many Jedi, on the planet of Hypori with his team, The Muunilist 10. Those Jedi were Ki-Adi Mundi, Aayla Secura, and Shaak-Ti.
He was also at the battle of Muunilist, where him and his team captured a banking clan leader and made him surrender. For his bravery and valiance at this battle, he was awarded the Chancellor’s service medal, equivalent to the Medal of Honor in Star Wars. Though he was given the honor, he did not receive the medal, but had it posthumously transferred to CT-43/002, one of his men who had died in combat.
Not long after, he was given the Jaig eyes on his helmet, a Mandalorian symbol of bravery and valor in combat. Only one other clone was to Dawn these on his helmet: Captain Rex
The problem is that none of this actually happened, due to the 2003 animated tv series Star Wars: Clone Wars being de-canonized when George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney. Many people, myself included, love the character of Captain Fordo, and want him to be re-canonized.
Another problem comes up: What about the rest of the show? Will they be canonized? This can be solved with the example of Starkiller, from the game series of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The game he is from was de-canonized, but Starkiller himself was made canon. This could be applied to captain fordo by doing the same thing.
This is a cause that many people can stand by. For many, Captain Fordo is their favorite character. Him becoming canon will bring happiness to many people’s hearts and will satisfy their undying want for him to become canon.
