Please sign this petition to STOP the approval of CD DG Redding Northwest and Cross development LLC's Application for constructing the proposed 9100 sq. ft building to be known has Dollar General on the Parcel Next to Grant School and the Parcel where Centerville Feed is currently located.  Please see below the seriousness of the situation and sign the Petition THANK YOU!

1. The Traffic to this location is on a blind corner and already Hazardous. Ingress and Egress traffic should not be magnified here. There is already Heavy school Traffic and have been several accidents and an influx in traffic is simply unsafe . In Addition to delays in emergency response vehicles needing to get past the location in an emergency.

2. There are Several School Bus stops on Placer Rd Non-residents traveling to this stores location unaware of the School Bus stops and Children's presence is a risk we should not be willing to take. Vehicles are known to be traveling at a high rate of speed on Placer Road. 

3. Safety to the School and its Students neighboring this location( within a 5 mile radius 66 Registered sex offenders involving crimes on minors 56 of those with children under the age under 14 this number is far greater (146) once a Transient search is polled per Megans Law Website. The location of the store gives them open access and a reason to be next to the School.

4. THE Website for National Center of Missing and Exploited Children states on their opening page Stranger abductions are usually next to or near a school

5. Several Studies have been done proving that these stores Specifically bring Crime to the neighborhood and Property values down.

6. Studies show the stores large number of robberies typically yield an armed gun man and have even resulted in customer deaths. 

7. Holiday Market, CVS pharmacy and Grocery Outlet are approx. 4 miles or less from this location. These stores Offer all goods and more then a Dollar General.  (Amazon and several other stores ship for free directly to your home.) 

8. Studies show Dollar General provides no fresh produce products. Many of the goods sold are known to support the increase in obesity and diabetes we are seeing in society today.
