Mignon Kohnke started this petition to LSU leadership and administration

At this point, we do not know what the LSU administration is planning in terms of in-person vs. virtual learning classes for next semester. To potentially assist in this decision-making process, we would like to provide LSU with some data as to how we, as a LSU community, feel about in-person learning. Through this petition, we wish to show the LSU leadership team of our strong support for returning to 100% in person classes for the Spring, 2021 semester with:

- all students and teachers wearing masks in classes,

- streaming all classes so as to allow anyone who is not comfortable with in-person classes to continue to view classes remotely,

- use of a plexiglass barrier on the teachers’ desks, podiums, etc

By doing so, the LSU campus would be mimicking the safeguards that are in place throughout the rest of Louisiana that have been immensely successful in diminishing our COVID hospitalizations and COVID-related deaths for an extended number of weeks.

Thank you, LSU, in advance, for your consideration of this petition.  It is our hope that the information gathered through this petition will be helpful in planning the spring semester.Go Tigers!
