Nurse practitioner programs are not providing students with preceptors to complete required clinical hours. Students search to no avail and have to sit out terms because the school does not assume their duty to ultimately ensure every student is provided the experiences needed to graduate, yet these same colleges continue to accept more students when they are not providing the education that their CCNE accreditation requires. 

More and more preceptors are refusing students from these schools. This is a call to the CCNE to hold these schools accountable and force compliance or suspend their accreditation.

We are suffering shortages as a profession. Those of us who desire to serve our communities are not able to graduate on time, if at all, all while gaining a mountain of student debt. 

Shea Sawyer has really broken down barriers for all of us, bringing this situation to the forefront. If you don’t send the complaint to the CCNE, nothing will change. Help us all make this change for our present and future colleagues. We have to take this to the next level.
