STOP the Loyalist Township 4% Property Tax hike!
The Issue
Loyalist Township Mayor and Council are planning a 4% hike in property taxes this year. This is on top of an already astronomically high tax rate, one of the highest in Ontario. This tax increase is the breaking point for many residents in Loyalist Township and could cause families to lose their homes and the community they love. The Covid-19 global pandemic has made many communities and levels of government come to the aid of people yet Loyalist Township feel that increasing the deductions is the right thing to do. People are already suffering during this uncertain time. Enough is enough Loyalist Township. It’s time to find another solution outside of hurting the people that make this community as great as it is.
