Just like a majority of you reading this, I am apart of the working class that keeps America running. Most of us have to drive to work, that includes me. I drive upwards of 300 miles per week and spend quite a bit on gas. Now some of you may know that here in Pennsylvania for every gallon of gas you buy you give roughly 62 cents to the government. So your 15 gallon fill up? That’s $9 that you are handing straight to the government. Whereas in Maryland they pay a mere 27 cents per gallon. Now it is understood that that revenue goes towards transportation infrastructure however something seems off considering we have the 3rd highest gas tax in the country yet the 26th worst roads. All this comes to say there is no reason for Pennsylvania to be paying such high gas prices. So please, stand with me in an effort to achieve fair gas prices!
