I figured to post this update to talk about what transpired within the last week, even when it took me a couple days to finally get to creating it. As the petition starter, I figured it'd be best to mention what had happened in the United States. Last Tuesday, the political activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I feel like political violence shouldn't be tolerated regardless of the beliefs of those involved. Doesn't matter if someone assassinated is conservative or liberal. Republican or Democrat. Also regardless of what the assassin believes. Kirk doesn't seem to be on authoritarian levels and advocates for free speech. I feel like free speech should be a belief that anyone in the United States must believe in. Like killing him or supporting killing him says you don't believe in it. It was just a day before the day marking 24 years of the terrorist attacks on September 9, 2001 that lead to the twin towers being destroyed. You should probably already know I wasn't born until after it but I figured it'd still be a good idea to mention it to honor the lives lost.
