It has been around a year since I started this petition. I don't remember the exact date I made this petition but I remember it was around Labor Day and when school started. Right now is around that time. I feel like this petition did come a far way. The first couple signatures came from my AP government class. I didn't activate the free promotion until Election Day simply because I didn't think I had to press something to activate it and wasn't on my find for a little bit. Now this has 65 signatures, 1 more than when I last updated a month ago. Not as many as I hope we should have had but still something. Signatures didn't just come from the free promotion, they were also gotten organically (through searching on the website and google), from change.org emails, and from social media (most was Facebook at 4, 1 from TikTok, and 1 from WhatsApp). My other petition about Making Election Day A Federal Holiday I made not long after this one and it has more signatures at 116. For me, my mindset is to not let anything to let you down if you want to get something done. No matter how many times people tell you no, you push through. No matter how many times you fall down, you have to get back up. You gotta have the motivation and the passion to be able to take a stand and get a real change done. I feel like as the creator of this pet, I must serve as the greatest motivator for everyone who already signed to take action. Try to get you all to share as much as you can. Try to reach out to your representatives at the state or national level about this. That's why for a little while back I was updating like crazy and even updating right now. I feel right now we got to fight harder with a more conservative federal government. Just figured to say something for this around a year mark.
