As an organization of that helps Hawaii and Hawaii locals ourselves, we are burdened by the escalating costs that come with daily living. The beauty and exclusivity of our island paradise are slowly being overshadowed by the rising cost of notably housing, food and utilities. According to a CNBC report, Hawaii is listed as the most expensive state in America to live in. Many hardworking locals are struggling just to make ends meet. 

We are calling on the state government to intervene and address this issue before interests are shifted elsewhere. We must preserve our 'Aloha Spirit' to ensure our 'Aloha 'aina' and ensure that it remains affordable for everyone who lives here, not just for tourists or the wealthy. A balanced, fair economy is what we strive for, not a paradise only for those who can afford it. It’s time to take action. Lower the cost of living in Hawaii, make it a home for all, make it better, make it a paradise for Hawai'i locals.
