Witnessing these majestic adult eagles risking their lives attempting to scavenge roadkill amidst speeding vehicles breaks our hearts. Not only is this endangering our beloved eagles, but it also threatens the biodiversity of our local ecosystem. According to the National Geographic, Eagles play a pivotal role in maintaining the environmental balance as they help control rodent and other small mammal populations, thereby contributing to a balanced ecosystem. The speed limit near Dick Pritchett's property, which hosts the eagle nest, needs to be significantly decreased to protect these birds from fatal accidents.
