To: Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division

We, the residents of Memphis, TN, are asking for immediate relief and reform for our MLGW bills.

Every household is struggling. Light, gas, and water bills are so expensive that working families, seniors, and single parents can no longer afford them. We are being forced to choose between paying our utility bill and buying groceries, medicine, and gas for our cars.

We are paying for a service we need to LIVE, and the rates keep going up while customer service and reliability stay the same.

We are demanding:

1.   A full review and reduction of current MLGW rates
2.   A cap on late fees and disconnection fees for low-income families
3.   More payment plan options and real utility assistance
4.   Transparency on where our money is going

Memphis deserves affordable utilities. We are not asking for free — we are asking for FAIR.
