Each year MICA continues to raise the cost of tuition, yet continues to break its promises of providing a safe and welcoming environment to students and refuses to address the many issues within the institution

These problems include:

-Underpaid Staff and Faculty

-Violations of ADA with inaccessible buildings (lack of ramps, elevators that have out of date safety certification)

-Unsafe dorm conditions (radiators catching fire, HVAC not working properly, carbon monoxide presence, elevators not working, bugs/rodents)

-Poor dining hall conditions (ignorance of food allergies resulting in a student having to be hospitalized 3 times, ignorance of food allergies causing a student to miss class 2 times, bugs found in salads)

-Poor handling of disabilities/accommodations (now defunct LRC lying to students about what accommodations are available/being ableist toward students, disabled students being barred entry to disability-friendly entrances, not being allowed to bring mobility aids into certain buildings)

These issues affect the students' abilities to learn and have fair and equal access to learning. 

Changing this would increase the mental attitudes of students and staff around campus and as such create a better environment for the school in general
