As a community throughout alachua county,  we all have seen the rising energy costs. Not just a small rise but ridiculous rises. Some of the bills we get are higher due to irregular readings, some due to third parties reading meters inaccurately, and then the true rise in cost.  Many of us in the last couple of months have seen more than $100-$150 rise.  There is a charge already for the energy use by tier and then they charge an additional electric fuel adjustment fee, why are we paying for this energy twice? Why do they continue to raise the prices higher than anyonther county in Florida? Let’s put a stop to this and let the state know what’s going on!
