As a high school student, I have witnessed firsthand how rising food prices are affecting families in my community. Many of my classmates' families struggle to afford basic groceries, and this issue only worsens. According to Statistics Canada, food prices have increased by 3.4% over the past year alone, making it harder for everyone to put healthy meals on the table.

Our government needs immediate action to address this crisis and implement measures that will lower food costs for all Canadians. Grocery stores are guilty of raising prices to some basic food such as fruits and vegetables that every human needs to survive and we need to work towards a solution and fix this to help people in Toronto survive.
