One should be free about what one wants to eat and where one wants to eat. It is unlawful that an university bans particular food items from its campus food stalls without stating any reason. This decision is like forcing students to opt for mess facilities available in the hostels, which is not right. The thing is that everyone knows that what kind of food we get mess, mess in-charge compromise with the quality of food to earn larger profits. You can't compel students to avail the mess facilities for the personal gains of Mess Contractors.

These restrictions should be lifted and the shops should be allowed to function as they were functioning earlier, so that "Students can eat what they want, not what you want to feed them".
