I deserve to live in a future with clean air, water and soil.

Island nations around us have committed towards a sustainable future (New Zealand, Palau, Marshall Islands, and more). Each government is preparing for a sustainable future unique to their islands but common towards the betterment of the environment.

Guam has committed to installing solar panels at public schools, the 'bottle bill', 'zero waste' policy and banning single use plastic bags, but Guam differs from other island nations by which Guam implements environmental laws and struggles to properly prepare the community and effectively enforce those laws.

Guam needs to create a serious climate commission that will make realistic goals with checkpoints and live up to sustainable promises.

We need to adopt and effectively enforce legislation that will 1) educate the public, 2) mitigate waste and 3) adapt to the climate crisis.
