In today’s climate, America is starting to make a change for the better. In a society where all are created equal and should be treated as such. One of many results being multiple schools and company’s across America have recognized Juneteenth (June 19th) as a holiday, including Grambling State University whom we share a college town with. This is an important date in our history, also known as Freedom Day that should not be ignored any longer . This petition will help the community of Louisiana Tech come together and make the change that we need. Although this petition may not reach the amount of signatures in time for 2020, we can begin reaching for 2021. We are all out of excuses, it is time to make the change. It is time to be the change.
