Metal news outlets report on big bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Tool constantly. It's awesome to hear news about these bands and find out about new releases but there is a problem. Newer bands are almost never featured in metal news stories. I feel like it would really help the metal community if metal news outlets would promote one smaller band each week. It could be called "Small band Saturdays" or something. It would feature a new band(any genre of metal) with a story about the band and links to their songs. People think metal and rock is on the down slope but I think that if we gave smaller bands the spotlight a little more we might have more bands to listen to and enjoy.
