KIPP and all charter schools are still attempting to co-locate, build, and expand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please continue to pressure all stakeholders and let them know that this is now a public health matter.

Greetings,

My name is ______. I am emailing you because KIPP Pueblo Unido Charter is planning to co-locate on the Teresa Hughes Elementary campus next school year. We have collected over 1,500 signatures from our community opposing this co-location.

I am deeply concerned about the pandemic we are facing. Due to the school closures, there is not enough time for any school to prepare for the health and safety concerns that a new co-location would bring. COVID-19 presents an issue of accountability and oversight. This is unfair to our children and community.

We must place a moratorium on ALL charter school co-locations within LAUSD and their continued attempts to co-locate, build, and expand during the pandemic. Their success will result with KIPP perpetuating and continuing the process privatization within LAUSD AND threatens the health and safety of our students and community members.

Stay safe,
