Justice for Jofama Reo Coleman (#v27659)
The Issue
We are seeking social justice. My brother in law was wrongfully convicted please read his story below.
My name is Jofama Reo Coleman and I was wrongfully convicted of a murder I did not commit. 5,890 represents the number of days I have been incarcerated. I have suffered over 16 years of judicial injustice and I share my story to raise awareness to the corrupt officers that contribute to false convictions. I’m a black male who grew up in a single parent home with no wealth or platform. As such, the wrongs I suffer are easily swept under the rug. For over 5,890 days I’ve had to maintain my sanity as I fall asleep and wake up behind concrete walls and bars for a crime I did not commit. I lost everything, I lost my youth, I lost precious moments with my family, I lost out on being a parent and being a part of my daughters life, I lost family that I will never get to say good bye too. I lost my freedom and voice because of a crooked cop.
The lead detective on my case was STEVEN KAVITZ (Employee 223233) of LAPD. This is the same officer who got caught acting in a cover up of evidence in the infamous case of the now deceased Christopher Wallace (Rapper Notorious B.I.G). This detectives misconduct continued with my case and and who knows how many others. I am asking for a reopening of my case and a thorough review of all the evidence I have acquired throughout the years of my imprisonment. My case took over two years to prosecute and was charged on witness only statements no physical evidence convicted me to this murder. Please help me right this wrong and receive justice, thank you.
